Kokomo Kids Eat

Mama Karen’s Cinnamon Toast Crunch Covered Pretzels
830 E Markland Ave, Kokomo, IN 46901
(765) 480-7155

Crunchy, sweet, and handmade locally, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Covered Pretzels from Mama Karen’s are going to be a hit with your kids.

In January, this flavor of chocolate-covered pretzels was so popular that Mama Karent’s couldn’t keep them in stock. We pre-ordered and picked up a box to share on a family road trip, but they didn’t last long. The flavor was delicious and our kids described them as, “Even better than the cereal!” The only regret I have now is not ordering more.

You can stop by the shop or call to order a box of these special pretzels, but you must be warned they are delicious and hard to put down.

Kokomo Kids Play

Paint a Bath Bomb at Buff City Soap
2140 E. Boulevard, Kokomo, IN 46902
(765) 416-1335

Shopping for soap with your kids has never been more fun! Stop by Buff City Soap, located in Boulevard Crossing, during open hours and, as supplies last, your kids will be invited to paint half of a bath bomb while you shop. This is a fun way for your kids to get creative, and it adds a special surprise to their next bath. Our kids call Buff City “the Bath Bomb Store” and look forward to visiting when we need more soap. You can even book a Kids Birthday Bash or other special event at the store for 1.5 hours and up to 10 guests. Visit or call our local Buff City Soap for more information.

Kokomo Kids Learn

The Discovery Center Workshops at KHCPL Main
220 N. Union St. Kokomo, IN 46901
(765) 457-3242

There’s a special room in the corner of the main floor of the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library Main Branch that my kids are always curious about. You may already know that this room is known as the Discovery Center and it is home to many fun activities for youth ages 8-13. After school from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Discovery Center rotates between different STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities including video games, robots, hex bugs, Osmo, and 3D pens. The Discovery Center also hosts the Girls Who Code Book Club monthly and will soon be offering an art club on Thursdays this Spring. You can see all of the upcoming events happening in the Discovery Center by visiting the KHCPL website events tab and searching Discovery Center as a keyword.
