Gummy Sticks from Just Baked by Trisha
Available to purchase at Mo Joe Coffee
106 N. Main St., Kokomo, IN 46901
(765) 437-6280

They may not be the healthiest, but they certainly were adorable and yummy. This past week we grabbed two Valentine’s Day gummy sticks from Just Baked by Trisha at Mo Joe Coffee Downtown. If you’ve never heard of Just Baked by Trisha, it’s a bakery located in Peru. We are lucky enough to get to enjoy her treats without the commute, but believe us it would be worth the drive. The gummy sticks we chose were shaped like Xs and Os for Valentine’s Day, but there were many others, including hearts, rainbows and more. Check the Mo Joe Facebook page for additional photos of these special treats and updates on what they have in stock.

The Train Table at the Greentown Public Library - Children’s Branch
301 S. Meridian St., Greentown, IN 46936
765-628-2882

We visited Greentown for a short morning trip and stopped to play at the Greentown Public Library. The Children’s Branch is located inside Eastern Elementary School with the entrance located off of Meridian Street. It’s a cozy library with a sweet toddler area and a great collection of books for children. But what has stood out to my kids the few times we visited was the train table. The train table has so many trains and different pieces of track that your little conductors will not give it up. I enjoy playing with my kids when there are additional pieces like in this collection. The set includes tunnels, a round house, and many pieces and characters from the Thomas & Friends crew. If you have a Greentown address you can get a library card and check out library materials for free. If you live outside of Greentown, you can purchase a library card for $55. Everyone is welcome to visit and play, the Greentown Public Library  offers many programs as well, you can call the library or visit their website for more information.

Youth in grades 3 through 5 who have an interest in technology and learning to code using Scratch are welcome to visit the library and participate in the Girls Who Code Book Club. Girls Who Code is an international organization connecting youth with opportunities to explore technology and coding in a friendly environment.  The club meets monthly and welcomes new members with a free book, T-shirt, notebook, pen and sticker. In each meeting, youth read from the book “Learn to Code and Change the World” by Reshma Saujanai, and complete a coding activity. The next chance to join the club is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7. For more details about this club and other KHCPL programs, you can visit the library website or give them a call.
