Kokomo Post Kids: Eat, Play, Learn - Dec. 26
Hey Kokomo! It’s that time of the week again. Our staff with kids are happy to share a few of the places their kids like to eat, play, and learn in and around Howard County. Check out this week’s picks for yourself!
Kokomo Kids Eat
Peppermint Stick Soft Serve at Cone Palace
55 W. 300 South, Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765)453-4470
We treated ourselves to ice cream as a family this past week—because who doesn’t crave ice cream when it’s freezing outside? It was perfect timing to savor their seasonal soft-serve flavor: peppermint stick.
My spouse and I shared a seasonal candy cane arctic swirl, and the boys were thrilled to enjoy peppermint stick and white chocolate soft serve cups! The flavor was just right—not too sweet and not too minty. The cookie and candy cane pieces in the article swirl are extra fun. We’ll definitely be back to try more seasonal treats before winter is over.

Downtown Kokomo New Year’s Eve Celebration
South Side of the Courthouse Square- Sycamore St.
The City of Kokomo and the TechnoKats Robotics Team will make this New Year’s Eve unforgettable with the return of the beloved midnight ball drop. After a four-year hiatus, the robotics team will unveil the third iteration of its LED New Year’s Eve ball.
With the help of the Kokomo Fire Department, the ball will be raised and dropped at midnight using a firetruck on Sycamore Street. The celebration officially kicks off at 11 p.m., featuring a live DJ, warm drinks, and snacks provided by The Coterie, The Kokomo Post, Bohemian Events & Entertainment, and Bohemian Tattoo Club.
This is a free, family-friendly event you won’t want to miss.
