Carrot Cake Bread from Mama Karen’s
830 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo, IN 46901
Mama Karen’s is the place to find a delicious homecooked meal on the go, but did you know they also make baked goods and desserts? We’ve enjoyed many of their treats, but this week we grabbed a loaf of bread for a sweet breakfast treat. I told the boys that the Carrot Cake Bread was the Easter Bunny’s favorite kind of bread to make it even more fun. The bread was a delicious treat that satisfied even the pickiest of eaters. One of my boys discovered that the bread had walnuts in it and decided to pick them out, but overall it was a success. The sweetness of the bread and icing balanced the spice of the bread. Be sure to grab some in the spirit of Spring.

Celebrate Easter at a local Easter Event
https://www.thekokomopost.com/articles/local-easter-events-2025
Whether or not you celebrate the Christian Easter Holiday, you’re welcome to participate in many of the local non-secular Easter events happening this weekend around town. While many events will occur on Saturday and Sunday, Gravity Trampoline Park is hosting their annual toy hunt on Friday. Various churches and businesses are inviting everyone to celebrate with them, but the most anticipated events are the youth and adult egg hunts hosted by the Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department. You can find details and links to all of these events in our Easter Events Blog.

There are so many valuable resources at your fingertips when you have a library card with the Kokomo Howard County Public Libraries! They newly announced FREE Access to the online preschool education program ABC Mouse. This program encourages reading and literacy while putting it into practice through age-appropriate activities like songs, puzzles, and games. My boys love using ABC mouse and earning tickets to buy things for their virtual fishtank and bedroom. ABC mouse is recommended for kids ages 2-8 and up to second grade.
