Discover Healing at Kokomo’s Newest Holistic Haven
Kokomo residents seeking a sanctuary for holistic healing and wellness now have a new destination: Midwest Modalities. Located inside Fierce Yoga at 400 W. Superior St., Midwest Modalities is designed to be a serene space where individuals can explore transformative modalities such as Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Sound Therapy, and their main attraction, the Harmonic Egg Ellipse.
We toured Midwest Modalities with owner Doug Nelson, who shared his passion for holistic healing and his vision for the space. Doug explained that Midwest Modalities currently offers several forms of healing, including:
QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique)
Reiki
Healy Reharmonizing
The Harmonic Egg Ellipse
The Harmonic Egg Ellipse, a light, sound, and frequency chamber, is particularly noteworthy. Nelson describes it as a spiritual experience that helps reset the body to its natural state, promoting self-healing.
In addition to individual healing sessions, Midwest Modalities features a large community room available for rent by the day or session. Nelson said this space is perfect for therapists who need a venue but don’t have a large enough clientele for a monthly rental. He envisions this room hosting a variety of seminars and classes, with plans for monthly sound bowl healing and group regressions.
When asked about the types of classes that will be offered, Nelson said there will be a diverse range, “everything from the arts to self-defense and everything in between.”
He said his goal is to create a vibrant schedule of activities that cater to the community's interests and needs.
“Midwest Modalities was created to be a sanctuary of healing, incorporating the best methods I've discovered through my own experiences,” he said. “My goal was to continue the Fierce Yoga community feeling that I’ve been blessed to be a part of. Raising the consciousness of our community and providing a place for people to start their healing journey is what we are about."
