The Ultimate Breakfast Spots In Kokomo

Hey, friends! Another month, another blog about the things I love in Kokomo! This month’s topic? BREAKFAST! It’s the most important meal of the day after all, and although I don’t get to indulge in these things all of the time, I do daydream about them often. So, here they are: my TOP PICKS of where you should spend your mornings (or early afternoons… bless whoever invented brunch). Thank me later!

Missy’s Family Restaurant

Making the top of the list is a personal favorite, Missy’s Family Restaurant. When it comes to breakfast, Missy’s is QUEEN! Not only is Missy’s one of the coziest cafes, located on one of the most charming locations in town — Buckeye street — but it is serving up some of the BEST breakfast you will find in town! My personal favorite? The farmer’s skillet or the steak breakfast tacos. YUM!

The Coterie

Name a cooler place to have brunch in town than The Coterie…. We’ll wait.

I love how innovative The Coterie is when it comes to well, pretty much everything — but I am SUPER loving how innovative they’ve been when it comes to serving up brunch in fun new ways.

Like traditional Bs & Gs, but make it sexy. Biscuits and chorizo gravy with an egg over top? Yes, please! Or crispy hash browns smothered in cheese, chili sauce and pico?! Gimme.

Marble The Steakhouse

Breakfast, but make it boujee! Marble is famous for serving up delicious, high-quality dinners, but now it offers delicious brunch options too. And, an amazing variety of menu items that they are switching up frequently and that you won’t find anywhere else in town like- Crab Benny, Turkey Pot Pie Pasties, Steak & Eggs, S’mores Waffles and so much more! PLUS, you can wash it all down with a signature cocktail or mimosa.

The Radish

Dan’s Variety Bakery

How could we write a blog about breakfast and not talk about donuts? Specifically, Dan’s Donuts! You already know that Dan’s is a Kokomo staple and there’s just something about taking a bite out of a fresh Dan’s donut that you waited in line for at 1AM that hits different!

Doubting Thomas

If you’ve never heard of Doubting Thomas before, I’m here to tell you that you’re missing out! Located inside of Cross America with a convenient drive-thru, Doubting Thomas has a variety of tasty items and drinks but their most famous item? Their homemade cinnamon rolls! These delicious rolls covered in buttercream icing are made up weekly!

Choo Choo McGoo’s

The options are endless when it comes to Choo Choo’s! They have a lengthy menu to choose from when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner but since we’re highlighting breakfast here let’s talk about a dish their customers love called “covered top.” It’s a double order of hash browns, smothered with onions, cheddar cheese, chunks of ham, topped with homemade gravy with two eggs on top prepared however you want them. We guarantee you won’t be leaving hungry after this meal!

Frittatas

Around here, we believe Frittatas deserves more hype! This place is another breakfast staple in town serving up some plates. Sweet or savory, they’ve got you covered but our top pick is a sweet one because the apple cinnamon waffles are too good not to rave about!

Mo Joe’s Coffee House

Mo Joe’s Coffee House is famous for its delicious drinks, but did you know that they serve up breakfast too? Their sausage and cheese muffin sandwiches are a favorite amongst their regulars and are made fresh to order every single day! Be sure to grab a warm drink in there while you’re at it… like the marshmallows Oreo hot chocolate pictured here.

Windmill Grill

Biscuits and gravy, eggs, waffles… you name it, Windmill Grill probably has it! You can grab all of your classic favorite breakfast dishes at one of Kokomo’s most classic locations!

Big Ben Coffee

If you’re looking for something to grab and go, then you’re in luck if you stop by Big Ben’s. They have a ton of fresh made options for you to grab as well as delicious coffees, frappes and more!

Mac’s Market

Listen, don’t sleep on Mac’s Market! If you’re a busy person like myself, you’re probably going to agree with this statement at times…. IF IT DOESN’T HAVE A DRIVE-THRU WINDOW I’M NOT GOING! And, wouldn’t ya know, Mac’s does have a drive-thru window and is serving up hot, on-the-go breakfast! The biscuits and gravy with potatoes is a fan favorite and super convenient!

Black Wax Cafe

Some of you may argue that *only* consuming a coffee for breakfast is not a balanced breakfast. BUT, what if you consume four coffees at one time?! Did I find the loophole here? No? Well, anyways… if consuming a lot of delicious coffee at one time is something that sounds like a good idea, be sure to head over to Black Wax Cafe. They are offering something brand new and I’m LOVING it! Coffee Flights! Genius!

So, there you have it! My top picks when it comes to breakfast in Kokomo. Did one of your favorites make my list? Did I miss a to-die-for dish you think I should be trying? Comment down below. I want to know!
