At 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 the only thing that may be brighter than the lights on the dance floor are the smiles on the faces of Bona Vista’s clients at this year’s Under-the-Sea All Abilities Prom.

Dive in with Bona Vista, a Developmental Services, Inc. Partner company, for an extraordinary evening at Cross America Community Center as this highly-anticipated event returns for another year.

In its second year as a formal prom event, Bona Vista’s All Abilities Prom is a night out for the clients of the nonprofit to experience high school prom with music, dancing, food, games and a photo booth, to just scratch the surface.

“It’s a very exciting event. It’s truly a special night that focuses on the individuals we serve and other individuals within our region,” said Brittany Barnard, development coordinator at DSI.

The event includes pulled pork from Bona Vista Bistro, desserts from J. Edwards and a DJ.

The event, which currently has only a handful of tickets left, is expecting to host close to 200 people from all over the Kokomo area.

“It’s rewarding to see how people step in and help where they can,” said Barnard, who is in her first year of planning this event.
