Remote and hybrid work schedules are more common now than ever before. Whether you’re an at-home worker who’s looking for an alternative space to focus, or a group looking for a private room to meet in a professional setting, there are a ton of options - check them out here!

Big Ben Coffee

Step through the doors of Big Ben, and you might feel the notion to sit and stay a while. This locally owned shop has versatile spaces for getting work done, whether alone at a table, or in the private room that can accommodate up to 15 people. Big Ben asks that you call ahead to reserve the room, and purchase a specialty drink from their cafe in exchange for using their space.

Cross America Community Center

Big or small, Cross America accommodates it all! No matter if you’re doing some solo studying or working with a group, you’ll find a space that fits your needs here. You’ll find everything you need for a productive workspace - including coffee and treats! With comfortable seating, a laptop bar with built-in charging stations, and four conference rooms equipped with 70-inch TVs, there’s a space to fit everyone’s needs.

A financial donation to Cross America’s 501(c)3 Nonprofit is requested to reserve a private room, other spaces throughout the facility are available for use free of charge. 

MO Joe Coffee House

MO Joe Coffee House is located in downtown Kokomo and is the perfect spot to have an off-site meeting or if you just need a change of scenery. Grab a cup of joe and stay a while in this art-filled, hometown coffee shop.

Whyte Horse Winery & Bistro

Formerly known as Main Street Cafe, Whyte Horse is a perfect spot for a mid-day meeting or just as a change of scenery for remote workers. You’ll find a breakfast and lunch menu, along with curated coffees for an afternoon pick-me-up!

Black Wax Cafe

If you’re looking for a workspace with a vibe, this is it. Black Wax Cafe is a coffee shop, record store, and one of the coolest places to hang out in Kokomo! Get those creative juices flowing with some caffeine and a cozy spot right here in downtown Kokomo!

If you haven’t heard, Greentown’s beloved Hydration Station has opened up a second location inside of Inventrek Technology Park in Kokomo! With tables and chairs, as well as other seating options, you can enjoy a sweet treat and work at the same time.

Kokomo-Howard County Public Library

Ah, the library, the original coworking space. With three branches throughout Kokomo and Howard County, a quiet meeting space is closer than you think!

With free wifi, as well as library-provided computers, study rooms, meeting rooms, and more, this community space is flexible for everyone’s needs.

The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is located in Kokomo at 220 N. Union St., and 1755 E. Center Road in Kokomo, and 315 Mesa Drive in Russiaville.

  • Smaller study rooms are available for up to four hours, free of charge.

  • Businesses are also able to help support their local library by reserving a meeting room for just $25/hour.

Meeting Spaces at Inventrek Technology Park

Inventrek offers an array of coworking spaces to fit everyone’s needs. This private space offers a guaranteed noise-controlled environment, with five conference rooms to choose from. This space is available for anyone in the community to rent and offers spaces that accommodate up to 90 people.

  • For 2 hours or less: $50

  • From 2-8 hours: $100

Paid Membership Spaces for Remote Workers

The Shared Drive

Howard County’s first co-working space, The Shared Drive, is also located inside Inventrek Technology Park. This is a space where individuals who are interested in a consistent, professional work environment may not have access to a private office. A monthly membership is required to use this 3,000-square-foot space.

  • Membership required $40/month or $440 a year

  • Wifi and fiber internet

  • Print/fax/scan equipment

  • Extended after-hours facility access

The HuB

Located in beautiful downtown Kokomo, The HuB is another paid option for remote workers looking for all-inclusive office space. With options starting at $99/month, remote employees will benefit from the use of unlimited wifi, the lobby space, and a conference room. This upscale space is perfect for any entrepreneur. Personal office spaces are also available to rent for an additional fee.
