Fall break is quickly approaching - are you ready? If you’re staying close to home and need ideas to help entertain the kids, we have you covered!


Local Events:

Fall Straw Maze Fun

Check out the Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom for a free kid-friendly fall straw maze at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library in Russiaville!

When: Anytime from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31 (Even if the library is closed)
Where: KHCPL-Russiville 315 Mesa Dr., Russiaville


Inside Outside Camping: Blanket Fort Fun!

Children ages 5 to 8 are invited to spend some time “camping” at the library! Enjoy camp songs, stories, s’mores, and a craft! (Girl Scouts can even earn a patch!)

When: 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13

Casper and The Addams Family

Doud’s Cider Weekend

Spend a day at the orchard with the fam! Taste fresh pressed apple cider, pick out the perfect pumpkin, and enjoy live music and horse-drawn wagon rides from 1 to 5 p.m.

Princess & Superhero Day

Head to Kendall Family Farm Adventures for a meet and greet with two princesses and a superhero! Admission to the farm is required, but there aren’t any additional charges for the event! You and your family can experience a 5-acre corn maze, live animals, hayrides, and so much more.

When: Noon to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15
