A recent move over to 1230 W. Jefferson St. hasn’t made this Kokomo classic miss a step. Whether you’re looking for a hot drink, a cold drink, or a quick bite to eat, Big Ben has you covered. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Fiesta Wrap is the real hero.
Located at 910 N. Washington St., this shop has whatever you need, as long as what you need is great music and great coffee. Buy new and used music, and grab a cup before you head home to listen. Plus, they just added matcha tea to the menu for a healthier option. You can’t go wrong!
With two locations in Kokomo (2198 W. Sycamore St. and 2930 S. Washington St.), Coffee Junkiez is ready to give you your caffeine fix wherever you are in town. Established in 2005, the purpose of this locally owned shop is to “supply our junkiez with great food, beverages, and service,” and they definitely deliver. The sugar-free peppermint white mocha is a big standout, but no matter what you like, everybody leaves happy!
Located at 840 Daniel Drive, this hidden gem has something for everyone. Whether it’s their fantastic drip coffee, one of their specialty lattes, a stuffed waffle, or even one of their build-your-own sandwiches, you can visit any time of day and find something to love!
Don’t let the small size fool you, Drinks From The Cup delivers big flavors. Located at 2030 N. Apperson Way, you can grab fantastic coffee and also a cool cup to put it in by picking from their stylish merchandise selection.
Located in the Kelley Center on IU Kokomo’s campus, this shop is a little out of the way, but worth the trip! Despite being a small coffee shop, they don’t stop there. They boost their already impressive menu of specialty coffees with smoothies, blended drinks, and fantastic pastries.
With drink names like “Dirty Elvis'' and “Pink Starburst,” what’s not to love? You can find this healthy coffee, shake, and smoothie shop at 3706 S. LaFountain St. in Terrace Plaza. They’re open till 6 p.m., so they’re available to cover that 2 p.m. slump.
Dunkin isn’t the only donut shop with great coffee. Jack’s boasts huge donuts and tasty coffee, and they’re open till 9 p.m. daily. If one cup isn’t going to do it, you can also get your coffee by the box, which is great to share at meetings or keep all to yourself on a late night cram session.
Located inside the Books A Million in Markland Mall, this coffee shop lets you sit and enjoy a cup while you read your new book. Whether you’re looking for hot drinks or cold, pastry or gourmet candy bar, if you want it, Joe Muggs has got you covered.
With two locations in town (700 E. Firmin St. and 830 E. Markland Ave.), you’re never far from this rapidly expanding company’s delicious coffee and treats. And if you’re too far away, they’ll come to you with their mobile coffee cart (as long as you schedule it out, it’s a hot commodity)! We were blown away by how great a simple coffee with hazelnut syrup could taste from this awesome addition to town.
Located at 700 N. Washington St., Lexi’s offers a variety of tasty food and drinks with fun daily specials. Grab coffee and some biscuits and gravy on the go and start your day off right!
A Kokomo staple since 2012, Main Street Cafe found new owners in 2020 who have committed to keeping what works while making some changes to grow the business and become even more inviting. Grab a breakfast burrito with your coffee, you won’t be disappointed!
The 2018 winner of Kokomo’s Best New Coffee Shop has proven it isn’t just a flash in the pan by going on to win Best Coffee Shop in 2019 and 2020. MoJoe’s has become a community mainstay with live music and local art showcases, plus it’s one of the only places in town to get your Bubble Tea fix.
For gorgeous French desserts and delicious coffee, you only need to head to downtown Kokomo. Petite Patisserie may be new, but they’re clearly professionals. They offer fantastic, high quality food and drinks, and also custom dessert orders.
A place for parents to relax while their kids play, Sweet Peas Play Cafe offers a safe space for young children of all ages to play while parents kick back with a delicious cup of coffee.
