What To Do With Leftover Halloween Candy
Do you have too much leftover Halloween candy? Help #makepositivitylouder by donating it to a good cause! Check out this list of local non-profits that would love some individually wrapped sweet treats!
Kokomo Rescue Mission
Address: 321 W. Mulberry St., Kokomo
Hours: Donations are accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday – Friday.
Instructions: When you arrive, please ring the doorbell located on the left of the door and someone will be out to assist you. Candy must be sealed in the bag that it came in. No individually wrapped loose pieces will be accepted.
CAM - Coordinated Assistance Ministries
Address: 210 N Market St., Kokomo
Hours: Drop off hours between 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; or 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
Instructions: Donations of candy may be dropped off at the side door of their building.
Kokomo Urban Outreach
Address: 1701 S. Locke St., Kokomo
Hours: Noon - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Instructions: Candy may be dropped off by entering the door by the alley and walking downstairs to the office.
Family Service Association
Address: 618 S. Main St., Kokomo
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday
Instructions: Candy may be dropped off at the FSA office.
Operation Gratitude
Donate candy to deployed troops, local military units, veterans, and first responders, with Operation Gratitude!
We will be taking candy donations here, at The Kokomo Post, from now until Nov. 10.
Please bring any unwanted, individually wrapped candy to 222 E. Sycamore St. in Kokomo and we will ship it to Operation Gratitude!
