It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. For caregivers of babies 0-12 months old and older siblings
The New Baby Bunch meets weekly on Mondays at KHCPL South. This group is a great place to meet fellow caregivers. Being a first-time parent or caregiver can be difficult so this group is available to all looking for friendship, support, and the chance to share in their parenting journey. Open Play at the Very Early Childhood Education Center

Recommended Ages 0-5 Kindergarten Readiness
The ultimate play-space for preschoolers, the Very Early Childhood Education Center has open play hours on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age appropriate learning activity. Today from 10:30-11:30 a.m. there will be a puppy party with opportunities to pick a stuffed puppy (while supplies last), decorate collars and puppy carriers, and more! There are so many opportunities to play and learn at this free, public resource center. The play space includes toys, buildings that inspire imaginative play and learning activities that encourage hands-on play and building construction/engineering. Fun for the whole family
Did you know that Matinee shows before 4 p.m. at our AMC Kokomo are up to 25% off the regular ticket prices? You can save a little money while having some fun! The adults can enjoy their choice of movies this week but families can see “The Wild Robot,” “Transformers One” and “The Forge.” While “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” and “It Ends With Us” will be playing for our PG-13 audiences. Kindermusik is offered at varying times and multiple of our KHCPL locations. If you’ve never attended before, it’s a short and engaging experience where toddlers get to sing, dance, and play musical instruments. First Friday Events Downtown
Downtown will be FULL of FUN this Friday for the whole family. It’s the best time of the month to stop by your favorite downtown Kokomo shops and establishments, but there will be candy and fun on every corner. Just to name a few can’t miss events happening this evening: The Kokomo Post Party, The Mad Scientists Lab at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library Main Branch, and Trick or Treating at Kokomo Grace United Methodist Church, so get dressed up and head downtown on Friday night!

Chess Club at the Carver Community Center | 4 to 6 p.m.

All ages and skill levels are welcome, but please bring your own board if you have one. Chess club is another benefit of your Carver Community Center membership with discounted rates. Others we aren’t members are welcome to join in for just $10 per week or $15 per month. Parents are encouraged to stay and play too. Share the nostalgia of playing at the arcade with your family this week. Scanlines Arcade is located just off of Dixon Road and is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for a ton of fun. The arcade has many pinball games, but also some classic and new arcade games made to test your skills. Be sure to check Scanline Arcade’s Facebook page for any last-minute updates or announcements.
