It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Take a look and tell them we sent you!

Recommended Ages 0-5 Kindergarten ReadinessThe ultimate play-space for preschoolers, the Very Early Childhood Education Center has open play hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age appropriate learning activity. There are so many opportunities to play and learn at this free, open to the public resource center. In addition to their main play space, they have a STEM/Sensory room that houses additional toys and learning activities that encourage hands-on play and building construction/engineering. Stop by on Thursday and let the kids play.

Recommended Ages 0-8Did you know that your “play pass” or fee to play at Sweet Peas allows you to play all day? You can stop by to play in the morning, go home, eat lunch, take a nap, and come back for more. On select Tuesdays, Sweet Peas hosts “Circle Time” at 10 AM where children complete a fun interactive craft and have storytime. See you at “Circle Time” on Tuesday!

The Fall Straw Maze will be available throughout the month of October but it's so much fun the first time you see your child searching for their way out of the maze. Start your week off with some fun at KHCPL Russiaville on Monday.

Fun for the whole familyThe Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on their winter schedule with open hours on Tuesdays and Thursday from 2-5 PM during the week. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Fun for the whole familySpend your Friday night out under the lights with the Kokomo Wildcats in their last home game of the season. The Kokomo High School PTA has been providing some extra fun with carnival games being offered until the end of the 3rd quarter with all the proceeds from the activities going toward the Class of 2024’s Senior Fling. Walter Cross Field has a capacity of 6,000 so there’s plenty of room and single game tickets are available for $6. See you there Friday night!

Open Jump at Gravity Trampoline Park 11 AM-8 PM

Fun for the whole familyCheck out Gravity Trampoline Park on Sundays for Open Jump from 11 AM-6 PM and Salvation from 6-8 PM. Open Jump allows the whole family to jump around the entire park listening to the top music hits at $15 per hour of jump time. Later in the day Salvation jump time give you access to the trampoline park for $12 with your favorite worship music playing. Gravity Trampoline Park is a great way to finish a great weekend with food, music, and fun. Don’t forget your gravity grip socks!
