It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Here’s something you can do with your kids every day this week! Take a look and tell them we sent you!


  • Monday, Nov. 4, 2024

    • New Baby Bunch at Kokomo-Howard County Public Library South Branch | 9:30 - 11 a.m.

      For caregivers of babies 0-12 months old and older siblings

      The New Baby Bunch meets weekly on Mondays at KHCPL South. This group is a great place to meet fellow caregivers. Being a first-time parent or caregiver can be difficult so this group is available to all looking for friendship, support, and the chance to share in their parenting journey.   • Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024

    • Open Play at the Very Early Childhood Education Center

      Recommended for children ages 0-5  for kindergarten readiness

      The Very Early Childhood Education Center, the ultimate play space for preschoolers, offers open play hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age-appropriate learning activity. This free, public resource center provides many opportunities for play and learning. The play space includes toys, structures that inspire imaginative play, and hands-on learning activities that encourage building and engineering.       Dining out with the family on Wednesday nights is easier with kid-friendly deals! Kids can eat free at Zaika Indian Cuisine with the purchase of an adult entrée, making it a great midweek treat to explore new menu options together.       Recommended Ages 3-5

      The Kokomo Howard County Public Library offers Growing Readers (or story time) with flexible times and locations for families with children under 5 years old. At Little Learners, the kids get to play with instruments, sing songs, listen to a story, count and MORE. You can visit this session of Little Learners or check out the other Growing Readers events at other locations by searching Growing Readers on the events page on the KHCPL webiste.

    • Ninja Warrior Nights at Kokomo Flipsters | 4:30 or 5:30 p.m.

      For youth ages 4-12

      The first three Friday nights of each month (provided it's not a holiday weekend), youth are welcome to register for the American Ninja Warrior Night camps for just $15 per ninja. Two classes are offered, starting at 4:30 or 5:30 p.m., both lasting 55 minutes. Ninjas will train on the special ninja course located inside the Flipsters gym and practice martial arts, tumbling, and more.     • Jump at Gravity Trampoline Park | 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

      Fun for the whole family

      Check out Gravity Trampoline Park on Saturdays for toddler time in the morning from 10 to 11 a.m., open jump from 11 a.m.to 8 p.m., and after dark jump from 6 to 8 p.m. Toddler time is for children ages 6 and under as well as a caretaker. For $8 Toddlers have their own time to jump at a slower pace with lower-kid friendly music. Open jump allows the whole family to jump around the entire park listening to the top music hits at $15 per hour of jump time. Starting at 8 p.m. after dark gives all ages access to the trampoline park for 2 hours for $20. For more details on pricing and events check out the Gravity Trampoline Park website.       Fun for all ages

      Share the nostalgia of playing at the arcade with your family this week. Scanlines Arcade is located just off of Dixon Road and is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for a ton of fun. The arcade has many pinball games, but also some classic and new arcade games made to test your skills. Be sure to check Scanline Arcade’s Facebook page for any last-minute updates or announcements.
