It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer.       Watching our Kokomo Jackrabbits play ball is a great way to spend a summer evening with your family and friends. Watch the Jackrabbits take on the Royal Oak Leprechauns from the backyard seats or reserved seats in the stadium. You can purchase tickets online or at the stadium, but be sure to check their promotional schedule for games that will feature fireworks and extra fun.

      The staff at Fired Arts Studio want to help you dive into summer with some special “Under the Sea” themed art projects during the first week of Kids Summer Camp. This week of camp will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You can choose to participate in all three days and save or register for individual days.       If you’re registered for the Summer Reading Program, then you are in for a summer full of adventures! Kid Quest: Campfire Adventures on Wednesdays at KHCPL Main will have a different camp theme each week. Dress for a mess and get ready to sing, do crafts and hear a special story.       Fun for the Whole Family

      The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on its summer schedule with open hours Tuesday through Sunday. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

      Watching Disney’s “Cars with your family at the library might be the perfect way to end a busy week. Bring your chairs or lay out a blanket and sing along with us at this FREE Public Event.       You might not normally consider the Farmers Market to be a “fun” thing for kids to do, but ours definitely is. The Kokomo Farmers market invites performers and demonstrations to be present each weekend and the Farmer’s Market Committee has a special tent with a hands-on activity for kids. The activities are a lot of fun and relative to learning about gardening, making healthy food choices, and more. That’s not even the best part though. When your child participates, he or she will receive a Sprout Buck do some shopping at the market alongside you. Be sure to follow The Kokomo Farmers Market on Facebook for last-minute updates.

      Fun for the whole family

      After celebrating the season opening last weekend, we are so excited to see the signs of spring and summer weather so we can play at City of Firsts Adventure Park. There’s fun and competition for the whole family whether you want to take a swing at the batting cages, score on your favorite mini-golf course, or race to the finish line on the go-karts. Before entering the park everyone must complete and sign a waiver. More information, including pricing and age or height requirements can be found on the City of Firsts Adventure Park Website.
