It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Here’s something you can do with your kids every day this week! Take a look and tell them we sent you!


  • Monday, Jan. 6, 2024

    • Drums Alive at the Kokomo Howard-County Public Library South Branch

      Looking for a fun, family friendly way to get moving? Drums Alive is a fitness program designed for all ages and abilities. The program engages participants in cardio drumming with fun and upbeat music. Everyone can participate at their own pace and comfort level. Be sure to register for these events as there are limited spots available. You can register on the KHCPL Website and see when other classes are available under the events tab.

  • Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2024

    • Open Play at the Very Early Childhood Education Center
      1608 Kirk Row, Kokomo, IN 46902 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      Recommended for children ages 0-5  for kindergarten readiness

      The Very Early Childhood Education Center, the ultimate play space for preschoolers, offers open play hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age-appropriate learning activity. This free, public resource center provides many opportunities for play and learning. The play space includes toys, structures that inspire imaginative play, and hands-on learning activities that encourage building and engineering.     • Go Ice Skating at The Frozen Sandlot at Kokomo Municipal Stadium

      Fun for the whole family!

      This is the final week for skating at The Frozen Sandlot. Public skating is available from 5 to 9  p.m. this Wednesday. Now in its 7th year, the Frozen Sandlot is made possible by the partnership between Bridges Outreach and the City of Kokomo. Thanks to the City of Kokomo, all of the proceeds will benefit Bridges Outreach and youth in our community.     • Visit the Kirkendall Interpretive Nature Center at Jackson Morrow Park

      Fun for the whole family

      The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on its winter schedule with open hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) programs and activities, including creature features throughout the year. If you’ve never visited, it’s a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants, and insects. In addition to preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

  • Friday, Jan. 10, 2025

    • Play Pinball at Scanlines Arcade |  5 p.m. to 12 a.m.

      Fun for all ages

      Share the nostalgia of playing at the arcade with your family this week. Scanlines Arcade is located just off of Dixon Road and is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for a ton of fun. The arcade has many pinball games, but also some classic and new arcade games made to test your skills. Be sure to check Scanline Arcade’s Facebook page for any last-minute updates or announcements.

  • Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025

    • Kids Glow in the New Year at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library South Branch

      For kids ages 4 and up

    Celebrate the new year with a fun, glowing art experience for children ages 4 and up, accompanied by their guardians. Using special paints and markers provided during the program, participants can create unique artwork. For added excitement, wear white or fluorescent clothing to amplify the glowing effect.   • Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025

    • Jump at Gravity Trampoline Park | 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

      Fun for the whole family

    Check out Gravity Trampoline Park on Sundays for open jump from 11 a.m.to 6 p.m. and salvation from 6 to 8 p.m.. Open jump allows the whole family to jump around the entire park listening to the top music hits at $15 per hour of jump time. Later in the day salvation jump time gives you access to the trampoline park for $12 with your favorite worship music playing.
