It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. For caregivers of babies 0-12 months old and older siblings
The New Baby Bunch meets weekly on Mondays at KHCPL South. This group is a great place to meet fellow caregivers. Being a first-time parent or caregiver can be difficult so this group is available to all looking for friendship, support, and the chance to share in their parenting journey. Fun for the Whole Family
The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on their winter schedule with open hours on Tuesday and Thursday during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Teen Art Group and Teen Writers Group at KHCPL Main

No matter what they think, our teens are forever Kokomo Kids! Thursday evenings at KHCPL Main, materials and space are provided for teens to gather with their peers, socialize, and share their works. The art group meets in the Large Group Study area every Thursday from 4-5 PM with the writers group to follow from 5:05-6 PM. Being a part of a social or special interest group can create community and a sense of belonging for local teens. These groups allow youth to meet new people and share their skills with like-minded peers in a safe space. You may use provided materials or bring your own! For youth age 4-12
The first three Friday nights of each month (providing it's not a holiday weekend) youth are welcome to register for the American Ninja Warrior Night camps for just $15 per ninja. There will be two classes offered starting at 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., both lasting 55 minutes total. Ninjas get to train on the special ninja course located inside the Flipsters gym and practice martial arts, tumbling and more. Share the nostalgia of playing at the arcade with your family this week. Scanlines Arcade has a new location just off of Dixon Rdoad and is open from 3-10 p.m. on Sundays for a ton of fun.
