It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Here’s something you can do with your kids every day this week! Take a look and tell them we sent you!

Recommended for ages 2-5
Children and their adult caregivers can learn and play through a series of activities and hands-on skill centers at KHCPL Russiaville. Monday Fun Day activities allow for children to develop Kindergarten Readiness skills and explore while learning literacy, math, and science. You can visit for a short while or stay and play as long as you’d like. You can view all of the events happening at our libraries by visiting their website and clicking on the “events” tab.

KHCPL South welcomes children and their families to learn and celebrate in some Lunar New Year Festivities. It’s the Year of the Dragon, so there will be fun dragon-themed activities including storytime, hands-on craft activities, and even a scavenger hunt. The Lunar New Year is a cherished celebration in many Asian countries. This event allows your children to have fun and explore other cultures. Have a Nerf War at The Zone | 3-9 p.m.

Instead of having darts all over your house, take your kids to play with their favorite Nerf Guns at The Zone. During open hours you can stop by and play for $10 per hour or arrange a private event. You can choose to bring your own Nerf Blasters or use the ones supplied by The Zone. The lighting and atmosphere makes it feel like a real party! In addition to Nerf Wars, The Zone also offers Laser Tag and Gellyball for your group or next event. Be sure to call or visit their website for more information.

Fun for the Whole Family
The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on their winter schedule with open hours on Tuesday and Thursday during the week and on Saturday and Sunday.The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

American Ninja Warrior Nights at Kokomo Flipsters | 4:30 or 5:30 p.m.

For youth age 4-12
The first three Friday nights of each month (providing it's not a holiday weekend) youth are welcome to register for the American Ninja Warrior Night camps for just $15 per ninja. There will be two classes offered starting at 4:30 or 5:30 p.m., both lasting 55 minutes total. Ninjas get to train on the special ninja course located inside the Flipsters gym and practice martial arts, tumbling and more. Wrangler is a local legend and kids love having fun with him and his friends on the farm. Opportunities like the Valentine’s Day Party allow kids to experience animal care and education while having fun right here in Kokomo. For Valentine’s Day, Wrangler hosts a spaghetti dinner and youth will make a special Valentine’s Day craft and treat to share with the farm friends. The party requires registration and signed waivers so check out their website for further details. You can register your kids for the camp for $35 per child or arrange a special visit to your home depending on availability. Fun for the whole family
Check out Gravity Trampoline Park on Sundays for open jump from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and salvation from 6-8 p.m. Open jump allows the whole family to jump around the entire park listening to the top music hits at $15 per hour of jump time. Later in the day salvation jump time gives you access to the trampoline park for $12 with your favorite worship music playing.
