We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Fun for the whole family
End your week with some fun and call Heritage Lanes to check for open bowling availability. They have open bowling from 5 to 10 p.m. on Mondays, where a group of five can bowl for an hour for $40 (including those fancy bowling shoes). Bowling is an easy and fun activity for the whole family, and you can grab some food at Roddy’s while you’re there. Open Play at the Very Early Childhood Education Center

The Very Early Childhood Education Center, the ultimate play space for preschoolers, offers open play hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age-appropriate learning activity. This free, public resource center provides many opportunities for play and learning. The play space includes toys, structures that inspire imaginative play, and hands-on learning activities that encourage building and engineering. As the temperatures drop and fall turns to winter we can get excited to practice some of our favorite holiday traditions like going Ice Skating. Public skating is available from 5 to 9 p.m. this Wednesday. Now in its 7th year, the Frozen Sandlot is made possible by the partnership between Bridges Outreach and the City of Kokomo. Thanks to the City of Kokomo, all of the proceeds will benefit Bridges Outreach and youth in our community. Drive or Walk through the Christmas Lights at the Howard County Fairgrounds

The Greentown Lions Club invites everyone to the Howard County Fairgrounds to enjoy a growing collection of Christmas light displays. Donations are accepted at the entrance as visitors drive through the display. Guests can also park near the round barn to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, and a chance to meet special visitors from the North Pole. The lights will be on every Thursday through Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. through Dec. 25.
