It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Open Bowling at Heritage Lanes

Make Monday a funday and call Heritage lanes to check for open bowling availability. They have open bowling from 4-10 p.m. on Mondays and a group of five can bowl for an hour for $40 (that includes those fancy bowling shoes). Bowling is an easy and fun activity for the whole family and you can grab some grub at Roddy’s while you’re there. Check out their website and Facebook page for last minute updates.

Recommended ages 8-13
The Discovery Center at KHCPL Main is available to offer kids aged 8-13 as a fun after-school activity and chance to make friends and explore STEM related activities. This week youth will have the opportunity to play on different video game consoles. The Discovery Center is open weekly and rotates through different activities. If you miss out this week be sure to check out the events tab on the KHCPL website and look for the orange and blue lightbulb.

Join the Lady Panthers at Western High School as they take on the Clinton Prairie Gophers in the regular season. Supporting our local high-school athletes by attending games and demonstrating good sportsmanship in the crowd is a valuable asset to our community. Fun for the Whole Family
The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on their winter schedule with open hours on Tuesdays and Thursday from 2-5 p.m. during the week. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants and insects. Watch Letters to Santa with The Kokomo Post on Facebook Live | 6:30 p.m.
Many of you have already sent your letters to Santa through our mailbox or on our website, but this is the chance to hear directly from Santa and Mrs. Claus. They will read the letters you submitted along with a special message. Be sure to tune in for this unforgettable night of Christmas Magic.

Artists of all ages and abilities are welcome to express themselves by decorating a beautiful piece of pottery at Fired Arts Studio. During the Painting with Santa event you can paint a pottery piece for a gift or as a keepsake for your own family. Everyone will have the chance to meet Santa, enjoy cookies and hot cocoa, and go home with a special goodie bag. Please RSVP to ensure there are enough supplies. The cost is $20 to reserve your child’s seat plus the cost of the pottery. You can find more details about their upcoming workshops and the painting process on their website.

Fun for the whole family
Check out Gravity Trampoline Park on Sundays for open jump from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and salvation from 6-8 p.m. Open jump allows the whole family to jump around the entire park listening to the top music hits at $15 per hour of jump time. Later in the day salvation jump time gives you access to the trampoline park for $12 with your favorite worship music playing.
