The Return of Our Online Coloring Contest

With school officially back in session, we thought it was only fitting to bring back our online coloring contest! Local kids, students, and teachers are all encouraged to participate in this fun, locally-themed competition. For the month of August, we’re offering a special coloring page featuring the beloved Koko-Mantis, back to school with a big smile on his face. Just like many other students, Koko-Mantis is excited for a new school year, and we want to see how creative you can be with this coloring page! From colored pencils, markers, paints, to glitter — the creativity lies in your hands to create your very own masterpiece.

This month, we're doing something extra special! Instead of just one prize for the first-place winner, both the student and his or her teacher will win a prize in our Back-to-School contest. We all know that teachers do so much, so we’ve partnered with Humble Home to offer two fantastic prize packages!

- The student will win the Back-to-School Bundle, a gift basket of school supplies to replenish your stash throughout the year and fun accessories

- The teacher will win a $50 gift card

It’s easy to join in the fun! Here’s how:

1. Print off the coloring sheet.

2. Color, paint, or decorate the page however you’d like.

3. Have a parent or teacher snap a photo of your masterpiece.

4. Email the picture to Bree@thekokomopost.com.

Coloring contest submissions will be accepted now through Aug. 15. On Aug. 16, we’ll share what we believe to be the best submissions and open up “people’s choice voting” which will run through Aug. 30. The winner will be announced on Aug. 31.
