The Kokomo Post Sports - Game of the Week: Eastern Comets vs. Clinton Prairie Gophers (Photo Gallery)
Friday night’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to Eastern High School’s Senior Night to see the Eastern Comets take on the Clinton Prairie Gophers. When the two teams clashed on the field it was obvious that the Comets came ready to play by scoring a touchdown in the first minutes of the first quarter. The Gophers quickly responded with a touchdown, but after it they just couldn’t maintain the momentum needed to stop the Comets. It was evident in the first half that the Comets had control of the game and it was up to the Gophers to readjust before the second half. The Comets came back out in the second half putting up 14 points in the third quarter to keep pushing the lead further 42-8. With a last minute push the Gophers grabbed another touchdown, but in the end the Comets took the victory 49-15. Check out our photos from the game here.
