The Kokomo Post Sports - Game of the Week: Kokomo Jackrabbits vs. Kalamazoo Growlers (Photo Gallery)
Last week’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to Kokomo Municipal Stadium to see the Kokomo Jackrabbits take on the Kalamazoo Growlers. The Jackrabbits had just lost the first game, of a double header, 1-8 and were ready to take the second game. This also means that the games were only 7-innings long making it harder to respond to the Growlers picking up a few runs. Although they had some good defensive plays, the Growlers scored 1-run in the third inning and 2-runs in the fourth inning. Kokomo put themselves on the board with 1-run in the fifth inning, but they couldn’t manage to pick up the extra few they needed to win. The second game ended with a 1-3 win in favor of the Kalamazoo Growlers.
