The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - November 13th
Hey Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Kokomo Hot Chicken
Cook McDoogal’s special is their version of Nashville Hot Chicken. It’s incredible. Save yourself the 345 mile drive and treat yourself to this yummy, super spicy sandwich. It’s served on a croissant bun and deliciously simple with pickles and onions. Fair warning here; this hot chicken packs a serious punch. If you’re a wuss when it comes to spice, this is not your lunch pick.
Jackson Street Commons + CrossFit Kokomo
Happening this weekend, CrossFit Kokomo has partnered with Jackson Street Commons for the third consecutive year. According to their Facebook event page, for 24 hours, (starting tomorrow) they will perform a ‘HERO’ workout to “remember a fallen hero who gave their life to support our liberties and freedoms.”
They are taking funds, supplies, and food donations that will all go to our Howard County Veterans!
Cheesy Chorizo Tots
Listen, I know this isn’t a glamorous pick of the week. Don’t @ me about health right now. It’s Friday, let me live my cheesy chorizo tot life.
What else is there to say? Gordo’s Tacos, one of our favorite taco places in Kokomo, has this dish as an appetizer special. It’s exactly what you read. Tater tots, smothered in white queso and sprinkled with chorizo. Split an order with a friend and enjoy your cheat meal. These are fantastic!
What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
