4 of the Most Instagram-Worthy Events This Weekend
There are some weekends that are made for comfy clothes and binge watching the latest true crime documentary — and then there are other weekends that are screaming to be documented and posted all over your stories. This weekend is that second one. With a TON of art-inspired activities, exhibits and screenings, the entire community will be celebrating art, food and culture this weekend. First Friday - Artsapalooza
Support local artists by checking out the new art throughout downtown Kokomo! Stop by Artist Alley at 210 N. Main St., Kokomo to see the 10th anniversary celebration of one of Kokomo’s most impressive public art exhibits.

Canvas Painting at Fired Arts Studio
Helping to kick off Friday’s Artsapalooza theme, Fired Arts Studio will host a canvas painting class, just in time for fall. Bring snacks, a tasty bev and your creativity as the crew at Fired Arts will guide you through creating a 16-by-20-inch autumn-themed trio of fall gnomes. Tickets are $40 each.

48-Hour Film Contest Screening
One genre. One prop. One line. Two days.
That’s what teams were given to create a 3- to 10-minute film during the 48-hour film contest, and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, you can watch the results. The screening is free and open to all ages.

Sunday Brunch at Whyte Horse Winery
There’s nothing that says Sunday Funday like a boozy brunch, and Whyte Horse Winery is the newest brunch spot on the Kokomo scene. Brunch towers, a seemingly-endless list of wine slushies and live music every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. from a rotating cast of local musicians. Off to brunch; be back never.
