Rhumfest: Celebrating Local Talent in Foster Park
Rhumfest, a vibrant celebration of music and art, is set to bring the community together for a day of live performances and creative expression — and you’re invited to join to experience.

Hosted by Rhum Academy of Music and Creative Curiosities, this festival shines a spotlight on the incredible talents of both students and instructors from Rhum Academy, as well as local artists and vendors from throughout the community. From 2 to 8 p.m. in Foster Park on Saturday, July 27, you can step into a lively hub of artistic energy right here in Kokomo.
Rhumfest is also a testament to the exceptional instruction provided by the Rhum Academy of Music.
“I love getting to see the students on stage, we work so hard with them on their lessons so getting to see the results of the hard work is a special moment,” said Sami Soutar-Lightsey, CEO at Rhum Academy of Music.
The festival showcases a diverse range of musical genres, from classical and jazz to rock and pop, reflecting the versatile training offered at the Rhum Academy. Audiences can expect to hear music from more than 40 musicians, including solo performances, dynamic duets and full-band ensembles.
She said the festival is not just about music; it's a celebration of the arts in their many forms. 26 local artists and vendors will be set up throughout Foster Park with art, food, jewelry, woodworking, baked goods and more.
“They’re great and they’re all different,” said vendor head and owner of Creative Curiosities Katelyn Myers.
