A world of possibilities awaits as a new boutique specializing in timeless decor, antiques, size-inclusive clothing and artisan food goods opens in Kokomo.
Hidden Possibilities Home Decor Boutique is set to celebrate its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 22 for shopping, taste testing, photo opportunities, a flower bar, food and refreshments.
Owners Steve and Tamatha Huston opened the shop in 2018 as a booth in the Original Treasure Mart, selling vintage and antique finds, homemade gifts and home decor.
The couple traveled the Midwest searching for new items to add to the collection and continued growing their following, eventually moving into a larger space inside of Treasure Mart. In 2022, the couple decided to open their own standalone brick-and-mortar shop and spent more than nine months renovating their current space at 216 Corwin Lane, Kokomo.
“Our business is not like anything else in Kokomo, said Tamatha Huston. “The whole premise of our business is to find the hidden possibilities in styling repurposed and new items in your home for a timeless, transitional style”
The boutique specializes in new home decor pieces, vintage/antique finds, women’s clothing, jewelry and artisan food goods.
“We chose neutral and timeless home decor pieces so we have items that would work with any decor style whether that be modern, farmhouse, transitional, or traditional,” said Huston.
The shop is expansive, and all of the items curated come due to Huston’s long-standing eye for design and experience in styling her home and helping family and friends style theirs.
“I’ve had dreams for a long time of running my own home decor shop and providing my friends, family and community inspiration for styling their homes,” she said. “I have always been creative, had an eye for design, and have been drawn to items that are vintage and reminiscent of simpler times.”
