Mama Karen’s is Set to Open in the Former Lucky Lemon Bakery Location

The newest restaurant on the Kokomo food scene, Mama Karen’s, is set to open Friday, March 17 in the former Lucky Lemon Bakery location at 830 E. Markland Ave. in Kokomo.

Owners Jimmy and Kelsey Jones say they will be serving up wholesome meals, delicious sides and treats — and they pride themselves on keeping items as fresh as possible. On the menu, you will find a variety of things like chicken parmigiana, chicken fettuccine alfredo, manicotti, flatbread pizza, salads, muffins, cupcakes, cake pops and more.

Jimmy Jones says the eatery is named after his late mother, known affectionately as Mama Karen by her loved ones. Jones went on to say he’s always had a passion for being in the kitchen where his mother taught him how to cook, and he opened the restaurant in her honor to keep her and her recipes alive.

You can find out more about Mama Karen’s on their Facebook page. The grand opening is set for noon on March 17.
