Glass City Wranglers vs Kokomo Bobkats (Photo Gallery)

In a high-scoring match on June 3, the Kokomo Bobkats powered back in the final minutes of overtime against the Glass City Wranglers. Led by Derek Hawthorne and TJ Henderson, the Bobkats emerged victorious with a final score of 128-120. With less than a minute to go in regular time, the Bobkats powered back to send the game into overtime, where the Bobkats proved victorious.

Hawthorne contributed 28 points while shooting at 40 percent from the field. Henderson recorded 21 points on 35.3 percent shooting, including four successful three-pointers. Larry Plummer and Tremont Moore also made contributions, adding 19 points each to the team’s overall score.

The Bobkats demonstrated their proficiency from the free-throw line, with a collective free-throw percentage of 76.7 percent. Additionally, their strong rebounding game, led by Johnny Griffin Jr.’s 12 rebounds, helped secure numerous second-chance opportunities.

Despite the Wranglers’ efforts, led by the scoring of Christopher Darrington with 31 points, the Bobkats proved too much to handle. The Wranglers showcased their three-point shooting skills, with a 31.1 percent success rate from beyond the arc, but were unable to overcome the Bobkats’ attack.

Resulting in a closely contested game with multiple steals and blocks on both ends of the court. Ultimately, the Bobkats' efficient shooting and cohesive teamwork enabled them to claim a hard-fought victory.
