Freshley Hand-Battered Appetizers from Kokomo Alehouse

At first glance, this looks like your run-of-the-mill appetizer sample platter. It includes pickles, mushrooms, and onion rings. But there is something about this dish that takes it up several notches. Each item is freshly hand-breaded, and this platter includes a Kokomo first. Hand-breaded banana peppers! They are even more delicious than you’re imagining.

The Kokomo Alehouse is a new place in a familiar spot. It is the old Mulligan’s location. The building has been totally renovated - and so has the menu. This place is worth a try!

Wonton Soup from Jay’s Thai

Soup szn is here and on any given cold night in Kokomo, you can find us curled up on the couch with the wonton soup from Jay’s Thai.

It’s a tasty broth-based soup full of steamed wontons, bean sprouts and scallions. Jay’s has a signature chicken and vegetable soup stock that makes this soup extra scrumptious. Add this dish to your fall list of must-tries this fall.

Chori-Queso from Don Pancho’s

It may not be a beautiful photo but what this queso lacks in looks, it makes up for in flavor. Monday was National Queso Day, and you better believe our office celebrated big.
This week is this Choi-Queso from Don Pancho’s is packed full of deliciousness. It’s Mexican sausage topped with white queso dip. We didn’t have one single drop leftover, it was that good. Of course, this is fabulous with a crispy chip, but the possibilities are endless for Chori-Queso. We used it over rice, in a taco, and mixed it with veggies. 10/10 recommend.

What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
