The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - Nov. 19

Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:

Pickle Fries from Moe’s River Room

We are newcomers to Moe’s but so far, we are impressed. Our first pick this week are their pickle fries.
These aren’t just regular pickle fries. The pickle fries from Moe’s River Room are seasoned well and cut into strips, making them super crunchy. Dip them in ranch for the perfect bite. One of our staffers, Heidi, who has tried a lot of fried pickles, claims they are the best fried pickles in Kokomo!

Bread Pudding from Poulard’s Cajun Cuisine

The Bayou Bread Pudding at Poulard’s is worth the trip. This dessert is sweet, rich, warm, comforting and everything you need to warm up on a cool Kokomo night.
It is a traditional bread pudding with the flavor amplified. There is a mystery combination of apple, cinnamon, nutmeg and cream that have made us think about this dessert almost every day since we tried it the first time. Make sure you only eat half of your Po’Boy, because you’ll want to leave room for this delicious treat.

Nickel Plate Burger from Kokomo Alehouse

Our final pick this week is the Nickel Plate Burger from the Kokomo Alehouse. We love the nod to all things Kokomo on their menu and this burger is no exception. It’s made with beef from local favorite White’s Meat Market, with your choice of cheese (we went with American cheese because, duh) lettuce, tomato, two huge hand-breaded onion rings, and honey bbq sauce. What better way to kick off your weekend?

What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
