The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - March 26
Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Lemon Blueberry Cake from J. Edward’s
What is it about lemon that instantly puts us in the mindset for spring? While not 100% sure about that, we are 100% sure that this cake from J. Edwards is phenomenal.
Homemade lemon cake, bright zesty lemon icing, and layers of fresh blueberries make this cake an easy pick of the week.
What else could be more quintessential springtime in Kokomo? We’re looking at you, Peter Rabbit Artic Swirl at Cone Palace….
Take-Home Kits from Ben’s Pretzels Kokomo
Ah, Ben’s Soft Pretzels. What can we say? It’s everything we want and more. Fresh, delicious, salty (if you want), sweet (if you want), and fresh from their oven to your hands as you walk the Markland Mall.
They’re offering baking kits so you can recreate Ben’s Soft Pretzel experience at home.
Does this sound like a culinary undertaking that will result in a messy kitchen? Yes.
Does this also sound like it would be incredibly delicious and absolutely worth it? Also, yes.
Greek Salad from Louie’s Coney Island
We know Kokomo is all about the famous bakes from Louie’s Coney Island but we dare you to venture out and order this pick of the week from their menu. The Greek Salad from Louie’s is loaded with gyro meat, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, and onion, over on a bed of lettuce. They serve it with delicious greek dressing and fresh pita bread so you don’t fully miss out on the gyro sandwich experience. 10/10 recommed.
What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
