The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - June 4th

Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:

Fish Tacos from El Borrego

These aren’t just any tacos; these are Kokomo fish tacos. El Borrego is one of our favorite downtown lunch stops, and this week’s choice did not disappoint.

The white fish is light and fresh and these tacos are served Mexican style with cilantro and onion. These were a bit of a twist on the fish tacos I’ve had before, and in the best way.
Looking for a lighter summer lunch? This is it.

Desserts from The Foxes Trail

According to Bree, these Foxes Trail desserts are crazy delicious! You’re looking at their fried cheesecake and funnel cake fries.

Here’s my idea: a Saturday afternoon biking the Industrial Heritage Trail (for FREE!) on a Koko-Go bike, grab a bite to eat along with one of these desserts at Foxes Trail, followed by some awesome local music at the Riverwalk Concert Sseries. It’s all right there on the riverfront. Enjoy this summer weekend in Kokomo!

Hot Sauce from Dr. Ashburn’s Pepper Emporium

Our team visited Dr. Ashburn’s Pepper Emporium this week for an upcoming episode of The Kokomo Post Tries, so I can’t spill any secrets.

What I can say, is that this new shop is boasting some of the most unique items you’ll find in Kokomo! Turn up the heat this summer and try one of their hottest sauces.

Of course they carry a huge variety of hot sauces, but if burning taste buds isn’t your thing, there are barbecue sauces, meat rubs, corn bread mixes, nuts, coffee and more.

What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
