The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - June 10
Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks, where our staffers pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Carnitas from El Borrego
Our first pick of the week is one of the fabulous dishes from El Borrego. Carnitas are fried pork tips and sauteed onions served with rice, beans and all the fixings. Fill up a tortilla, or eat this dish with a fork and knife -you can’t go wrong either way. El Borrego consistently makes dishes that are authentic and delicious!
Beer Bats from a Kokomo Jackrabbits Game
Our second pick this week is the newest concession item at Kokomo Municipal Stadium for Kokomo Jackrabbits games. It holds up to 26 ounces of an ice-cold brew to sip and enjoy while watching some hometown baseball! Our very own Weston Lee is the official Jackrabbits emcee. If you see him, raise a glass…err…bat, and say hello!
BL(FG)T+A from The Radish Market & Cafe
The final pick this week is one of our squad’s go-to summer lunch orders. June 1st felt like a holiday downtown Kokomo as we welcomed back the return of this iconic sandwich The Radish’s June menu. The sammie is a fried green tomato BLT with avocado. The flavors are a match made in millennial heaven.
What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
