The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - July 1

Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks, where our staffers pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:

Breakfast Burger from Juliannos

Our first pick of the week is the breakfast burger from Julliannos. This tasty cheeseburger is topped with a fried egg and three strips of bacon. It’s the ‘brinner’ dish dreams are made of. We’ve yet to try anything from Juliannos we haven’t loved and the breakfast burger is no exception!

Lava Wash at McCord’s Auto

Our second pick this week is one of the more unique experiences in Kokomo. ‘Hot lava’ (soap and bubbles) covers your vehicle as you drive through the car wash. Kids absolutely love it, but who are we kidding, adults do too! If you’re out and about on the northwest side of town, the Lava Wash at McCord’s is well worth the trip. It’s a fun experience to drive through, and the result is a squeaky clean vehicle!

Fried Green Tomatoes from Lucky Lemon

The final pick this week is one of our favorite food items in Kokomo. Our art director, Michael, said this is in his top five all-time favorite foods in Kokomo.
Fried Green Tomatoes are a summer essential. But the Fried Green Tomatoes from Lucky Lemon are extra special. They’re vegan - served on top of greens and topped with red pepper jelly and almond cheese. Pair this dish with one of the fresh lemonades from Lucky Lemon, and you’ve got yourself an unforgettable lunch.

What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
