Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks, where our staffers pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Barbecue Chicken Pizza from Stoney’s Sourdough Pizza Co.
Tonight is a pizza night, and the pick this week is Stoney’s barbecue chicken pizza. Stoney’s signature homemade crust is topped with barbecue sauce, chicken, fresh cheese and diced red onion — then baked to bubbly goodness! Absolutely scrumptious and a nice change of pace from the regular Friday night pizza order.
Crab Benny from Marble the Steakhouse
The boujiest brunch in Kokomo is at Marble every Sunday, and this dish needs a moment in the spotlight. The Crab Benny is Maryland-style crab cake, fried egg, asparagus, hollandaise sauce and a side of bacon. Pair this order with a mimosa and live that high-society life for an hour or so.
Breaded Tenderloin Manhatten from Artie’s Tenderloin
Talk about a Hoosier delicacy. We tried this dish at Artie’s recently and it is the definition of a hearty Indiana lunch. The tenderloin Manhatten is Artie’s famous tenderloin topped with a piece of bread and a scoop of mashed and smothered in brown gravy. This meal is not for you carb-watchers. This is a stick-to-your bones, winter meal.
