“Casper” 1995
PG | 1 Hr 40 minutes
Watch it on Peacock, rent it from Amazon Prime or borrow the DVD from the
Kokomo-Howard County Public Library.

Casper certainly is a friendly ghost, but I wouldn’t want to live with his uncles. I’d imagine Casper’s breakfast spread is something like the one at Missy’s Family Restaurant.

Hopefully, the meal doesn’t go through you because you’ll need your energy for the Karaoke party! The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library has a Karaoke Experience Kit for a guaranteed good time.

“It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” 1966

Watch it on Apple TV+ or borrow the DVD from
Kokomo-Howard County Public Library

They say on Halloween night the great pumpkin will rise out of Price’s Pumpkin Patch with his bag of toys and deliver them to the good boys and girls of Kokomo that believe. Whether you stay up and catch a glimpse of the great pumpkin, know you can get the good candy at Olde Thyme Mercantile LLC in case trick-or-treating doesn’t quite go your way like Charlie Brown.

You probably didn’t know that you can make your own magic bath bombs with your friends at Buff City Soap. Contact our local store to reserve a time so the staff can have all of your potion ingredients ready for you. When you’re finished, the bus stop in the mortal world of Kokomo is right in front of Country Squire Carryout, and you better eat quick before Grandma turns your supreme box leftovers back into a live chicken.

“Hocus Pocus” 1993 (first in series)

Watch it on Disney+, rent it from Amazon Prime, YouTube, or borrow the DVD from the

The Sanderson Sisters have come back to life one too many times, but we still love watching them during the spooky season. The perfect movie snack is popcorn, you can find the seasonal witches brew flavor available at the Popcorn Cafe until the end of October. Did you know you have two days to trick-or-treat in Kokomo this year?! Who knows what tricks and treats are in store for your family!

All the fun happening at the hotel reminds us of the party happening at Jackson Morrow Park with the Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department’s Monster Mash Bash from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. or any of these local Halloween events. Windmill Grill will be on-site, but we know you might be craving some scream cheese like Mavis. You can get the cheesiest of pizzas from Stoney’s Sourdough Pizza Co.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” 1993
PG | 1 Hr 15 Min
Watch it on Disney+, rent it on Amazon Prime and Youtube, or borrow the DVD from the

Halloween truly is the spooky season before the Christmas Season. This movie night will have you singing along and thinking about monsters and Christmas at the same time. Your family can start the day with snacks and one of the spooky drink options at MO Joe Coffee House downtown. Go window shopping at your favorite local stores and start drafting your Christmas wish lists or else Jack will bring you presents this year.
