Kokomo Celebrities Halloween Candy Picks
Hey Kokomo! Picture yourself when you were young enough to go trick or treating without it being weird to your neighbors, you know the people I’m talking about. You were in your costume. You were walking up to your first house of the night. Excitement is causing your hands to shake. You knock on the door and you scream the festive greeting as loud as you can, “TRICK OR TREAT!” What candy are you dreaming of getting? That’s the question we asked some local Kokomo celebrities and here’s what they had to say.
Tyler Moore
Reese Peanut Cups! I’ve always been sold on the two great tastes that taste great together! Plus, they were always easy to pop between houses!
Paul Wyman
I am a huge fan of skittles! I love all of the different flavors in each bag.
Jessica Green
It’s not technically Candy.... I love popcorn balls on Halloween. It’s popcorn and tons of melted marshmallows shaped into a ball with M&M’s, like Rice Krispy treats (that might be obvious, but just in case.) My Great Aunt Marion used to make them in the fall. The town I grew up in was so small, we knew who everyone was, so we trusted the trick-or-treat popcorn balls & we got tons of them!
Andy Hardie
Snickers are my favorite mostly because of the chocolate! I LOVE CHOCOLATE! Mixed with the sweet and smooth taste of the caramel is an added bonus. To top it off, the salty kick of the peanuts and nougat is perfect.
Tammy Lively
My all time fave was Shirley Bentzler’s popcorn balls. If you grew up in the Heights like I did, there was a mad rush to her house on Kickapoo to get them before they were gone. I’ve had a lot of popcorn balls over the years and none compare. They were amazing. Today, I’d have to say Reese’s pumpkins are my fave....they just taste really fresh this time of year!
Kyle Gibson
I’m a pretty traditional Snickers guy myself, it’s just the perfect candy bar. Salty, sweet, creamy, chocolate. That’s my go to any time and also what I look forward to stealing from my kids every year
Mike Martino
Reese’s cups and peanut M&M’s. Tied between those two. Can’t say why they’re my favorite, I guess I like peanuts.
Judge Brant Parry
My favorite Halloween candy are fun dips. Because they remind me of trick-or-treating as a kid and spending summer nights at UCT baseball park/
One great thing about Halloween is that there are hundreds of options of candy for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a sweet, salty, sour, chewy or crunchy kind of person there is something for you!
