Eastern Elementary’s Second Annual Kindy 500 (Photo Gallery)
Checkered flags, smiles and handmade racecars from Eastern’s Kindergarten class of 2024 lined the track at Eastern Elementary School on Wednesday, May 8 to celebrate the end of the year “Kindy 500”.
Leading up to the event, students spent time designing, decorating and training for the mock Indy 500 where families, Indy 500 princesses, Jax the Jackrabbits’ mascot and community members filled the stands of Cogdell Field in Greentown for the second annual event.
After racing against other students in each class, the winners went on to race to the finish to crown the winner. Check out some photos from the Kindergartener’s musical performance, parade and the Kindy 500 race below.
