Welcome to a blog series by yours truly where I help you discover businesses, experiences, food and restaurants you need to know about! Join me in this series where I’ll give you all of the details to experience these hidden gems in Kokomo!

For this week’s Heidi’s Hidden Gem, I went around Kokomo and captured some of my favorite public art!

This first piece is on the side of Sun King Kokomo. Painted by Indiana University Kokomo alumni Sienna Urbina. If you look at the individuals in the painting, you can see parts of a map of Kokomo!

Sun King Kokomo is located at 500 N. Buckeye. St., Suite A

This piece is called “Heron Sunset” by Carlos Bermudez. This mural is located at 210 W. Walnut St., Kokomo.

Jules Muck, known professionally as MuckRock, has an array of art all around Kokomo, including private art on people's homes and public work on the trails. Here are two pieces that stand out to me! The monarch is located at 210 W. Walnut St., Kokomo, next to Koko-go Free Ride and the Cactus Kitten is located on the side of Oscar’s Pizza at 515 N. Buckeye St.!

Indiana University Kokomo’s 2019 Community Arts Projects class painted this mural at 208 W. Jefferson St., in Kokomo. Lining 150 feet of the Industrial Trail, this masterpiece is perfect to enjoy on a walk downtown!
