Heidi’s Hidden Gems - Kirkendall Nature Center
Jackson Morrow Park, located at 4200 S. Park Road, at the northeast corner of Park and Center roads, consists of 100 acres of natural and manmade trails, a nature center, basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds and a sledding hill.
After its construction in 1996, The Kirkendall Interpretive Center opened its doors with displays of animals in our area, informational programming, and a space for the community to gather and experience nature all year long right here in our city.
The nature center features Creature Features during the summer with guided live animal interactions and all-year-long you can find native turtles and frogs that live at the center that act as mascots for the wildlife in our state.
