Nestled in Olds Plaza on South Elizabeth Street in Kokomo, is a quaint Asian market with something new (and delicious) around every corner.
Some of my Hungry Asian Market hacks are as follows…
Drinks from the Cooler: When I want a fun drink on the go, this is my go-to spot. There are tons of teas, and juices to choose from. One of my favorites is the Brown Sugar Bubble Tea.
Snacks: I love trying different snacks from different cultures, and Hungry Asian Market has a ton of options. From chips, sweets, desserts, candy, and ice cream, there’s always something that catches my eye.
Sauces: Everyone knows about the mediocre, Americanized sauces you typically find on the shelves of regular grocery stores. But the Hungry Asian Market is the real deal. With authentic soy and fish sauces, and all the spicy flavors you can ever imagine, it’s so good. And for all you hot sauce lovers, they have Sriracha in stock, which in recent months has been hard to find.
Ramen Headquarters: I LOVE ramen noodles, but when I feel like switching it up, Hungry Asian Market has what I need. There are A TON of flavors, brands, spice levels, and a variety of noodle types to choose from. I’m working my way down the list, but beware - when the package says spicy, IT’S SPICY!
Hungry Asian Market is located at 2024 S. Elizabeth St., Kokomo
Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
