Heidi’s Hidden Gems - Christmas at The Seiberling

During the height of the gas boom in Kokomo in the late 19th century, entrepreneur Monroe Seiberling used his investments from local factories to begin constructing the Seiberling Mansion in 1889.

After being home to a variety of business owners and inventors throughout the years, including George Kingston who developed the carburetor used in Henry Ford’s Model T, the Seiberling was converted into a historic sight rich with Kokomo history.

Each year, the Saturday following Thanksgiving, The Seiberling transforms into a Christmas wonderland for the public to enjoy throughout December.

Guests can enjoy six sponsored free nights, a candlelight tour, a visit with Santa in his workshop and paid evenings that benefit The Howard County Historical Society.

Paid evenings are $10 for adults, $5 for students and ages 5 and under are free.
