El Borrego Expands Menu Offerings - Heidi’s Hidden Gems
Located at 314 S. Union St., El Borrego is a Mexican restaurant and grocery store that recently has revealed exciting additions to its offerings.
At the front of the store, a new vibrant and enticing snack and dessert counter has emerged, with delectable offerings of authentic Mexican sweets, unique snacks and frozen treats.
You’ll find ice cream that comes in an array of exotic flavors like mango, pina colada and guanabana, as well as ramen noodles prepared with Takis and other toppings and so much more.
From the irresistible sweetness of churros topped with ice cream to Fresas Con Creme, Elote and dozens of other sweet and savory treats, there’s something new and exciting for everyone.
I tried the churro with strawberry cheesecake ice cream, strawberries and chocolate sauce and it was heavenly, but you can customize your ice cream flavor to whatever floats your boat!
All of these treats are available to order as a to-go option at the counter or to sit down and enjoy in the business’s restaurant.
P.S. In the aisles of the store, you will find rows of spices, drinks, snacks and other staples used to create authentic Mexican dishes.
