Kokomo Sports Game Of The Week: Kokomo Beats Harrison In An Instant Classic: (Photo Gallery)

Memorial gym was full of dunks, steals, alley-oops, buzzer beaters, crazy crowds and more on Friday night! Last night’s Kokomo Post Sports Game Of The Week had a little bit of everything. Kokomo gets a thrilling overtime win against Harrison 68-63 to advance to the Sectional Championship game against NCC rival Marion.

Flory Bidunga had an excellent performance with 26 points and 19 rebounds in front of a handful of D1 college coaches that were in attendance on Friday night. The most prominent coach in attendance was Juwan Howard from the University of Michigan. This was Howard’s first time in Memorial to watch the Kat play and he chose a pretty special night to do so.

Shane Spear also had a fantastic night scoring 14 points and dishing 5 assists. A not so great moment from Spear came with less than a minute left in the 4th quarter where he was given a technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct. The jury is still out on what lead Spear to shove the Harrison player, but that is something we may never know.

The Kats play again on Saturday night against Marion, a team they beat by double digits earlier in the season, to hopefully bring home a Sectional Championship and keep heading towards Indianapolis for the school’s first state title since 1981.
