First Look: Cream & The Crop
A garden center has opened on the north end and is filled with rich Kokomo history, but you may be surprised by what else you’ll discover when you visit.
Kokomo’s newest gem, Cream & The Crop, is a blend of history, community and family fun.
Located at 517 N. Apperson Way, this charming spot is the brainchild of Shawn Clark, who has meticulously designed it to reflect the rich history of Kokomo.
As you step into Cream & The Crop, nostalgia immediately greets you. From a salvaged counter from the local S. S. Kresge’s store to vintage lights from Mt. Pisquah Church, around every corner, you’ll find a touch of historic elegance.
But the charm of Cream & The Crop doesn’t stop with its decor. The produce shop offers a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables and for those with a sweet tooth, the ice cream stand serves up delicious old-fashioned sodas and creamy ice cream, making it an ideal destination for families looking to enjoy a fun and tasty outing.
Whether you're a gardening enthusiast, a history buff or simply looking for a new spot to enjoy with your family, Cream & The Crop has something for everyoe.
The shop’s grand opening is 4 to 8 p.m. July 5.
