Kokomo Kids Eat
October Popcorn Flavors from The Popcorn Cafe
1108 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765) 252-3745
Take a break from snacking on Halloween candy and chocolates and try some popcorn. The Popcorn Cafe is a unique local business located on Markland Avenue beside Baker’s B&K. With more than 40 flavors of popcorn available, it's difficult to choose just one. This month’s popcorn flavors feature the tastes of fall and Halloween. We grabbed some Hocus Pocus and Witches’ Brew flavors in the spirit of the spooky season. The colors of the popcorn make these the cutest gifts. My taste-testers made all of the popcorn disappear as an after-school snack, but they hope to visit again soon to make their own picks from the flavor wall. Visit The Popcorn Cafe website for more details on their October flavors and more.
Kokomo Kids Play
The Kids Straw Maze at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library Russiaville Branch
315 Mesa Drive, Russiaville, IN 46979 | (765) 883-5112
Throughout the month of October, the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library Russiaville Branch welcomes little readers (ages 5 and under) to visit the Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom's fall straw maze. The maze is the perfect height for preschool-age children to play in and have fun without getting completely lost. We checked out a backpack to play with in the maze, making it even more fun. Make plans to visit the maze, attend a program, or check out books at KHCPL Russiaville before the maze is removed at the end of the month. For more information about programs and services the library offers, visit the KHCPL website.
