Kokomo Post Kids Eat, Play, Learn: May 23
Hey Kokomo! It’s that time of the week again. Our staff with kids are happy to share a few of the places their kids like to eat, play, and learn in and around Howard County. Check out this week’s picks for yourself!
Kokomo Kids Eat
Lemon Shake-up from Windmill Grill
2335 W Sycamore St., Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765)452-1600
https://www.windmillgrill.com/
If you’re anything like us, this warm weather has our kids craving fair food. Lucky for us Kokomo has a few local spots where we can satisfy the cravings anytime. We used the drive through at Windmill Grill to grab a couple Lemon Shake-ups. We can’t help it, they just taste better than regular lemonade. Maybe it's because they’re shaken and not stirred? They also offer Lime Shake-ups for those of you who are true citrus lovers. You can dine-in, call or order online through the Windmill Grill Website.
Kokomo Kids Play
Chess Club at the Carver Community Center
1030 N. Purdum St., Kokomo, In 46901 | (765)457-9318
The Carver Center hosted its first Chess Club meeting last week and is offering the chance for local youth to learn and grow their chess skills and strategy. All ages and skill levels are welcome, but please bring your board if you have one. Chess Club is included in the Carver Center membership at no extra cost, and others are welcome to join in for just $5 per day. The next Chess Club meeting will be at 5 p.m. May 28. Parents are encouraged to stay and play too. There are many new opportunities like Chess Club happening now at the Carver Center.
