We were having a great day and after play at the park I heard pleas for drinks from the back seat. We stopped at Lexi’s Drink Barn and decided to try something new from their list of Specialty drinks displayed on the ordering window. I gave the crew the choices that were Sprite based, and Skittles was the winner. It was sweet and a delicious treat. The boys like the dark red color of it and asked if it has candy in it. No candy, but a mix of blue raspberry, cherry, grape, green dragon, watermelon, strawberry, lemon, and orange flavors. I don’t think any color of the rainbow was left out. As pickleball rises in popularity among adults KHCPL provides the opportunity to try without purchasing the implements on your own. You can check out the Pickleball Set Experience Kit from KHCPL Main like a normal library book for 14 days (sorry, no renewals). It would be so much fun to learn to play a new sport alongside your family. The experience kit originally included four fiberglass paddles, both indoor and outdoor balls, a book, and a zippered carrying back for easy packing. Grab a hold on this experience kit on the KHCPL Website and make a plan to spend an evening at Bon Air Park (2500 N. Purdum St.) where our Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department hosts their annual Pickleball Leagues.

Wrangler & Friends are hosting many events this spring and summer, but we especially love it when they offer a chance for little kids to play and learn out on the farm. Little Wranglers is a program offered throughout the spring and summer for little ones between the ages of 1 and 4 years old. For only $15 you and your child can experience life on the farm with Wrangler and his friends. Little wranglers will get to ride a horse, feed some of the animals on the farm, help with grooming, and complete a hands-on activity with one of that month’s featured animals. The program will be hosted next on May then once per month in June, July and September. You can register for Little Wranglers and other camps/programs with Wrangler & Friends on their website.
