Kokomo Kids Eat

Paletas (Popsicles) from El Arcoiris
2607 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo, In 46901

Playing outside in the evening on these warm Spring days, makes us want ice cream. Instead of going to our favorite local spot we decided to visit a new place for a sweet treat. El Arcoiris, located in the former location of Old Thyme Mercantile, is a fun ice cream shop with lots of treat choices. They offer hand dipped ice cream, frozen yogurt, milkshakes, slushies, and more. We all enjoyed popsicles during our first visit. They had many flavors, but we enjoyed the strawberry, chocolate, and oreo choices. My oreo popsicle actually had an oreo in it! We definitely plan to be back to try more and support this new business as it grows. For more information about El Arcoiris, their hours, and full menu like their Facebook Page.

Kokomo Kids Play

Catch with Family or Friends
Purchase second hand Sports Supplies from Impact Sports

All you really need is a partner, a ball and a little bit of space. I remember playing catch with my family as a kid and now I play with my children and spouse. It can be a slow paced game, but it doesn’t have to be. Most of the time, a game of catch between older children becomes a game of wit and challenge of “trick plays.” Could you or your kids use a new glove? A new local business has emerged from the Kokomo CEO program called Impact Sports, where CEO Lincoln Cardwell sells second hand sports equipment and supplies and uses portions of his profits to donate sports equipment to local youth organizations. You can learn more and see what they have available by following the Impact Sports Facebook Page. Impact Sports is also seeking donations of second-hand sports equipment, you can make donations by messaging their Facebook Page or leaving items in the drop-off location at Brookstone Suites, 1201 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.
